Basically sim card has the unique identity number and a small storage for your contact but if it is embedded then you can manage your sim card activation and migration with the help of your Operating system settings (iOS or Windows or Android).

This concept is already launched by Apple and it is available in iPad Models but apple never said this in Apple Keynote and they named is Apple SIM

Apple Said that this feature will give you more flexibility on choosing the short term mobile data plans from the variety of network providers with no long term commitments. Whenever you are travelling to abroad then you can choose your data plans for the duration of the trip.

So finally, you will be having one mobile number and many network provider based on your wish just like we are having an email app with many accounts and it will be very easy for sim migration under your phone settings without visiting to the retailers shop.

So when you are going to buy a new e-sim then network provider will give you an unique bar code number with credentials which can be configured by our self and start using it.
