Offline Google Maps on iPhone and iPad

Google Maps has recently launched version 2.0 for iPhone and iPad and if you haven't downloaded the latest one then download it from itunes.

Offline maps is really useful when you are out of the network or no internet connection.

Google is providing offline maps in android version where as in iOS its not providing but you can do it with small trick.


  • Open your google maps application on your iOS device 
  • Search the location which you want to download offline 
  • Select a specific area not a city because iOS device is not supporting large cache memory at this time.
  • On the search box, hit the X button to clear the location data
  • Now type a command on the search box "Ok Maps" without quote
  • That's it. Particular area has been saved to your iOS device.
